Beginning Studio Pottery
$180 per person
How does it work?
- Private classes 1-4 people
- A class meets once a week for 6 weeks during open hours
- Each class is 1 1/2 hours long
- Suitable for all ages (under 8 must have an adult accompaniment)
- No experience necessary
- Learn to use the wheel or handbuilding
- All pottery is safe to use in the kitchen, microwave, oven, and dishwasher
- All materials included
- All tools are cleaned between classes

Beginning Open Studio
$240 for 6 weeks
Designed for adults that want to start open studio for the first time.
- Can be scheduled in the evening
- Instruction provided as well as open studio time
- Designed for students that need a refresher or have never touched clay before
- Scheduled 1 1/2 hour time each week
- Open studio (by appointment) any other time Green Road Pottery is open
- Materials and firing included
- Personal storage for tools and clay
Open Studio
If you want to continue with pottery after your first session, open studio is available for you.
$50 per month ($500 per year)
$60 for materials

- Maximum of 2 members in the studio at one time

Pottery
$160 per student
- Private classes 2-4 people

Lego Engineering
Simple Engineering – $150
- Ages 7 and up
- Learn about the 6 simple machines of the ancient world
- Build a Lego trebuchet
- Includes a $30 Lego set
Complex Engineering – $200
- Ages 10 and up
- Learn about complex gearing, pulleys, linkages, and transmissions
- Build a Lego trebuchet
- Includes a $50 Lego set
Robotics Camp – $120
- Ages 7 and up
- Design a Lego robot to earn as many points as possible
- Solve basic programming problems
- Build mechanical solutions

Course Catalog
Wheel Throwing
- At Green Road Pottery, anyone can learn to use the pottery wheel. I will help every student have fun and experiment with different wheel throwing techniques. It is best to learn wheel throwing during a long class, but I also offer wheel throwing in single session classes. No experience necessary.

Make a Gift Class (1 hr – $30)
- In this 1 hour class you will make 2 handbuilt pieces of dinnerware such as a bowl, plate, cup, or mug. You will start with wet clay that can be personalized and decorated by drawing into the clay. When complete, the dinnerware pieces will be durable to use in the kitchen, dishwasher, microwave, or oven. No experience necessary.

Handbuild a Luminary (1 hr – $25)
- Use slab techniques, to build a luminary for a candle.
- Multiple pieces may be completed depending on the design complexity.

Sculpt a Creature (1 hr – $25)
- Create a fantasy sculpture using handbuilding techniques. You can make one large dragon or an army of minions. Your finished piece may be glazed or painted with acrylic paints. No experience necessary.

Coilbuild a Vase (1 hr – $25)
- Use coil technique to build a vase or pitcher. You may make 2 small pieces or one larger piece. No experience necessary.

Handbuild a Dinner Place Setting (2 hrs – $40)
- Use slab techniques, to build a complete dinner place setting with a dinner plate, salad plate, bowl, and a cup. No experience necessary.
- Schedule this class for your group.
Handbuild a Lidded Container (1 hr – $25)
- Using advanced slab techniques, build a medium or large covered container. You can make a cookie jar, or pencil box or jewelry box, or anything else. Come with your own ideas. Your finished piece will be food safe. Previous handbuilding experience suggested.

Open Building Time (1 hr – $25)
- Come with your own ideas and I will help you build them using handbuilding techniques.
